The Isle of Thanet
After visiting Herne Bay, Broadstairs, Ramsgate and taking part in the 2013 Margate Festival I developed a fascination with The Isle of Thanet on the Kent coast. Thanet used to be separated from the mainland by the Wantsum channel, long since silted up. This unique landscape and the people who live there have drawn my attention. These are some of the first images from a series that I will be continuing.
